Executive Director of Dreama hosts Ambassador of Argentina
The orphanage care and empowerment center (Dreama), raises the degree of international coordination and external cooperation, In order to promote development action in the field of children’s rights, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development plans.
Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Executive Director of the Dreama Center, hosted the Ambassador of Argentina to Doha, Carlos Hernández to deepen bilateral cooperation in the field of development and empowerment of orphans. During the meeting, the two parties agreed to exchange experiences in the field of children’s rights and to align national development plans in both countries with the sustainable development strategy 2030.
The two parties also reviewed opportunities for cooperation and investment in human development, as well as the development of the educational and cultural capacities of children, as well as the elimination of all forms of discrimination against the less fortunate groups and achieving successful and effective integration for them.
The Argentine Ambassador, for his part, confirmed that the Dreama Center had become one of the leading centers in the field of orphanage care and empowerment, and had placed it on a high degree of entitlement to convey its experience to Argentina. He expressed his hope to open new horizons between the Qatari civil society and his Argentinean counterpart to achieve the best interest for the two friendly nations.
Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad said that the center of Dreama has become fully responsible for the development goals of the United Nations, including the raise of the state of coordination and international cooperation in the field of childhood.
And she added that the center’s vision became more open to achieving social and human coordination between Dreama and the heads of diplomatic missions in Qatar in a way that serves children’s interest.
She emphasized the role of international partnerships in the exchange of experiences and the collaboration of civil society organizations at the local and international levels to achieve sustainable development objectives.
Al Misnad emphasized on the necessity of focusing on the fields of development related to children’s rights, In particular the leading international institutions in the integration and empowerment sector. She highlighted Center’s role in promoting community integration and empowering Dreama children and raising awareness of the community’s responsibility towards this important segment of society, and working to combat social stigma that may accompany orphans of unknown descents.
