Hanoi (VNA) – The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and relevant documents will be submitted to the National Assembly (NA) on November 2.

In the morning, President Nguyen Phu Trong will present a proposal for the parliament’s ratification of the CPTPP and relevant documents, followed by a report explaining the pact in details delivered by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.

Chairman of the NA’s Committee for External Relations Nguyen Van Giau will present a report verifying the ratification.

After that, lawmakers will have group discussions about this issue.

In the afternoon, NA deputies will scrutinize the draft revised law amending and supplementing the laws related to planning.

The draft law aims to ensure the relevant laws’ consistency with the Law on Planning and ensure that regulations on planning will take effect at the same time with the Law on Planning, which is scheduled to come into force on January 1, 2019.
