Argentinean FM meets intense Visit in Rome, Vaticano

According to a note from the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship attended a Mass celebrated Tuesday by his Holiness in the chapel of the Santa Marta Residence, and at the end of the ceremony exchanged greetings and attended a brief talk.

Faurie was then received at the Apostolic Palace by the Secretary for Relations with the States of the Holy See, Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher, to whom he expressed the profound appreciation of the Argentine Government in the task carried out by the Church in different areas, such as the assistance to the most vulnerable and the care of the planet, added the source.

At the meeting they went into several issues, including the need to continue fostering a global commitment to care the environment while Faurie spoke about the commitment of his nation to the Paris Agreement and highlighted that in the G20 presidency, which Argentina exercises this year, this will be one of the main working groups.

On the other hand, the Argentine Foreign Minister held a private audience with the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, with whom he also addressed the most important issues of the regional and global agenda, including the situation in Venezuela, added the note.
